A Trip to Uncle Toby's

We all enjoyed our trip to Uncle Toby's (Lake Tobias) for the family reunion this year. Anna really enjoyed looking at all the animals.

The baby rhea birds are a favorite of mine to see when we go.

Aren't the babies cute?

Here is another cute baby on the safari ride : )

Little deer

See how much Anna was looking at the animals.

The prairie dogs at Uncle Toby's have their own special place to live, and people throw crackers to them. Wouldn't the prairie dogs in Montana like that!

Anna loved the petting zoo!

Across from the petting zoo was the kangaroo pen. If you look carefully, you can see a baby kangaroo in the middle of the picture. When we first saw him, he was riding around in his mother's pouch! It seemed like it would be a tight fit for him to get back in : )

Can you see the baby peccary?

Oh my! Look what Anna is petting!  A real, live snake!

Nature Pictures

This spider was in our garden. Mom and Ben got to see him 'wrap up' his supper : )

A wild 'morning glory'.

Can you spot the ladybug?

Wildflowers around the pond.

I think foxtails look so pretty when the sun is shining on them.

A Baby Kitty

This is a baby kitty that I got to take care of for a couple weeks. He drank out of a tiny bottle!

He stayed inside in a plastic tote. I though he might like a stuffed kitten for company.

A couple time he slept in my room, outside of his box.  Can you see him?

Look where he liked to sleep!

More Pictures

We all enjoy the church softball season.

Look who is riding with Ben!

I found this baby hummingbird sitting on a zinnia. He wasn't too good at flying yet, so he had to sit on the flowers sometimes while he was drinking.  The next morning, he was so weak from not eating, that he couldn't even sit right. We gave him some sugar water, and in a little bit he flew up into the tree!

A new tree stand that Dad made, ready to be hauled to the woods.

Some kittens living at the back of the shed.  Can you see the mother cat's face?

Ben is a very good helper at the chicken houses. Here he is cleaning out the skid loader bucket after composting chickens.
Ben turned 16 this year!  It's hard to believe he is that old already.

Miss Anna

Anna is a very happy baby! She loves coming to our house.

Anna is wearing the outfit that Cory wore when he came.

My 'youngest' piano student : )   I love this picture! Doesn't Anna look like she is really concentrating and trying to play?

Anna and Uncle Ben

It was hard to pick which of these two pictures to use, so I decided to use both! Isn't Anna sweet?

Anna especially likes Dad. He really enjoys that!

Anna enjoys eating.  She already opens her mouth for the next spoonful : )

Looking at a book with Grandma.
